Brian Kroemer

Facilities Officer

Brian Kroemer has almost 40 years’ experience in telecommunications. Starting as a Technician in the PMG then qualifying as a Technical Officer, Brian has amassed considerable experience in technologies including radio, microwave, switched data networks, Telegraph and Data and DDN. As a Technical Specialist for Telstra in Vietnam, he gained a wealth of experience including the successful implementation of the International and Domestic Packet Switch Network. After leaving Telstra in 2000 Brian worked for MCI/ Worldcom and Ericsson Corp Networks as a Presales Engineer. Joining Metronode in the capacity of Facilities Officer he brings a high level dedication to serving the needs of our customers and a technical knowledge that is adaptable to any challenge. Brian has a commitment to ensuring that the highest standards are maintained and the site works in a safe, secure environment with a high level operational functionality.

Our data centres are designed with power systems that include redundancy, uninterruptible power supplies and N+1 levels or greater and a backup generator system in the event of local failure. Through precision heating, cooling and ventilation, our data centres are capable of supporting even the most demanding high-power deployments. We have carefully considered airflow, temperature and humidity in the localisation of our centres and our measures are reflected in the zero downtime of this facility. Physical security is also a priority for Metronode, and we have implemented security, monitoring and facility management to ensure your digital assets are protected.
